As you can see, children don’t let the cruelty of the world poison their view on humanity. Their knack for looking at the world through the eyes of innocence should be an inspiring motive. As we age and grow older, we allow all of the bad things that happen on this planet to affect us, to change the way we see everything, instead of looking at it through the eyes of a child. As children, they allow their curiosity and honesty to spur on their actions to have a positive effect on everyone around them. They don’t allow the harshness of the world to stop them from treating others with kindness and care. The older we grow, the more accustomed we become to the concept that we can’t cause change, no matter how small. These innocent children haven’t lost their faith in mankind yet; they haven’t learned or been taught to hate others or to discriminate and judge, or to persecute and torment the less than fortunate. They just have a genuine wish to help others, to reach out their hand and see another smile.
If only everyone on this planet could take a page from their book and use them as a lesson on how to treat humanity, then the world would be a better place. So the next time you see someone in need, stop and remember these children. Allow them to inspire you and remind you that even the smallest of kindnesses can be a blessing to someone else.
